Step 1: Start a Campaign
Open Promotion > Create Ad Campaign or Tools > Create Ad Campaign. You can also open Promotion > Campaigns and click Create Ad Campaign when the button is available.
You will first choose between Do It Yourself, where you set the track, budget, targeting, and creatives, and the managed service option.
Step 2: Choose What to Promote
- Spotify track URL - auto-loads track name, artist, and artwork when available.
- Spotify artist profile URL - promotes an artist profile.
- DropTrack library - logged-in users can select an existing track from their catalog.
Step 3: Set Budget and Duration

- Minimum budget: $50.
- Use presets such as $50, $100, or $500, or enter a custom budget.
- Choose a duration of 7, 14, or 28 days.
- Choose a strategy: Steady Growth for even spend, or Release Boost for a launch-focused campaign.
Step 4: Targeting
Recommended targeting is the default. Turn on Advanced Targeting only when you want to manually choose countries, genres, or similar artists.
Step 5: Creatives
- Auto-generate - assets are generated after payment from available artwork.
- AI generation - generate creative options before checkout.
- Upload your own - use your own image or video assets.
Step 6: Review and Pay
Review the campaign details, payment summary, and wallet/payment options. The payment summary includes ad budget, service fee, Pro bonus when applicable, and total charged.
After Payment
The campaign is funded, creatives are prepared when needed, and the campaign moves through review before delivery. Track status and performance from the Ad Campaigns dashboard.
