Watch: Send a Music Promotion Email Campaign

The Campaigns Page

Promotion > Campaigns lists every campaign on your account. The page includes:

  • A Promote Your Music strip with quick links to start an email campaign, find submission opportunities, or create an ad campaign.
  • A prominent search box and filters by type (email, submission, ad) and status (draft, active, sent, archived).
  • A campaigns table on desktop and a mobile-friendly card layout on smaller screens.
  • A Start New Campaign button.

Create an Email Campaign

The campaign builder is a 5-step wizard. You can move forward and back between steps, jump to any completed step, and Save Draft at any point to come back later.

  1. Go to Promotion > Campaigns.
  2. Click Start New Campaign.
  3. Music - choose Send music from a playlist or Send email without music. When you pick a playlist, DropTrack shows a summary of its artwork, track count, and available download formats so you can confirm or change it before continuing.
  4. Message - enter the campaign name (internal) and the email subject and message recipients will see. The subject and message fields include an Insert placeholder menu with these tokens: {first_name}, {last_name}, {full_name}, and {company}. Set access and downloads, notifications, and expiration here for music campaigns.
  5. Design - choose Use a template or Custom design. Templates appear as cards with previews; custom design opens the rich-text editor. You can run Send Test from this step to email yourself a copy using the in-progress subject, design, and music settings.
  6. Audience - pick recipients from Lists, Segments, Contacts, and Selected tabs. A sticky summary shows your selected contact, list, segment, and total recipient counts. You can add a new contact without leaving the wizard.
  7. Review - a checklist-style summary shows the status of Music, Message, Design, Audience, and Delivery, with Edit links that jump back to any step. Choose to Send now or Schedule for a future date, or run Send Test one more time before you start the campaign.
