DropTrack Support

AI Auto-Tag analyzes your music and automatically fills in metadata like genre, BPM, key, mood, vocal style, similar artists, instruments, and suggested use cases.

What Gets Tagged

When you run AI Auto-Tag on a track, DropTrack can fill in:

• Genre
• BPM (tempo)
• Key
• Mood
• Vocal style
• Similar artists
• Instruments
• Suggested use cases (film, TV, advertising, and similar contexts)

Tags are written directly to your track record. You can edit any tag afterward on the track page.

Tag a Single Track

1. Go to Promotion > Tracks and open a track.
2. In the track details area, click AI Auto-Tag.
3. The AI analyzes your track and fills in metadata automatically. A confirmation appears showing how many fields were updated.
4. If you change your mind, an Undo option is available briefly after tagging.

Bulk Auto-Tag Selected Tracks

1. Go to Promotion > Tracks.
2. Check the box next to the tracks you want to tag.
3. Click Auto-Tag Selected in the bulk actions bar.
4. DropTrack tags the selected tracks in the background.

Free accounts can bulk-tag a small selected batch. Bulk tagging more than 5 tracks requires Pro.

Auto-Tag All Untagged Tracks

If you have tracks without key metadata, a prompt can appear above your tracks list showing how many are untagged. Click Auto-Tag Untagged to tag the full untagged catalog.

Auto-tagging all untagged tracks is a Pro feature.

Auto-Tagging from the Analysis Tab

When you open the Analysis tab on a track page and analysis results are already available, tags can be applied automatically in the background. You will see a brief confirmation when it completes.

Editing Tags After Auto-Tagging

AI-applied tags are a starting point. You can update any field manually on the track page at any time. Once you edit a field yourself, that field is no longer considered AI-sourced - your edit takes precedence.
