What You Get
Every analysis delivers:
- Quality Score (0–100) — An overall rating of your track's production quality. Scores of 70+ show a "Ready to promote" indicator; lower scores come with specific, actionable advice to improve before sending to industry contacts.
- AI A&R Summary — Written feedback on your track's strengths, style, and areas to improve, framed as if from an A&R rep.
- Genre Classification — Primary and secondary genres detected in your music.
- Musical & Lyrical Mood Scores — The emotional character and energy level of the track.
- BPM & Key — Automatic tempo and musical key detection.
- Lyrical Analysis — If your track has vocals, you'll get analysis of themes, tone, and explicit content detection.
- Similar Artists — Artists with a comparable sound, each with a reason explaining the match. Useful for pitching and positioning.
- Licensing Suggestions — Recommended sync placement types (TV, film, advertising, gaming) that suit your track.
How to Analyze a Track
Click Analyze in the sidebar. You have three ways to get started:
- Upload a file — Drag in an MP3, WAV, or AIFF file up to 150 MB.
- Paste a Spotify or SoundCloud link — Paste a public track URL and the analyzer pulls in the metadata automatically.
- Pick from your library — If you're logged in, choose any track already in your DropTrack account.
Wait a few moments while the AI processes your track, then review your results on screen.
What You Can Do with Your Results
- Save a PDF report — Download a formatted copy of the full analysis, including all scores, genre, mood, similar artists, and licensing suggestions.
- Copy the report link — Share your analysis with anyone. They can view the full report without needing a DropTrack account.
- Share with a collaborator — Enter a collaborator’s email address and DropTrack will send them the report link directly.
- Get your Track Release Checklist — Enter your email to receive a practical pre-release checklist covering metadata, artwork, distribution, playlist pitching, and launch-day promo.
- Generate a Press Release — Feed your analysis straight into the AI Press Release Generator to create professional press materials using your track data.
- Submit to Industry Pros — Open the submission flow to pitch to labels, DJs, bloggers, or playlist curators.
- Upload Another Song — Start a fresh analysis with a different track.
Saving Your Results
If you’re not logged in, you can enter your email on the results page to save your analysis for next time. Creating a free account unlocks additional analyses and lets you access results from your dashboard.
