How to Analyze a Track

  1. Open Promotion > Analyze Track or Tools > Analyze Track.
  2. Upload an MP3, WAV, or AIFF, paste a Spotify track or album URL or a SoundCloud link, or choose a track from your DropTrack library.
  3. If you paste a Spotify album URL, DropTrack shows the album cover and a list of tracks. Pick the one track you want to analyze and continue.
  4. Wait while DropTrack processes the track.
  5. Review the analysis results on screen.

Tracks that are only linked to Spotify may get a shorter report. Upload an MP3, WAV, or AIFF of the track for the complete analysis.

What You Can Do with Results

  • Save or share the report when available.
  • Use the results to improve metadata and pitching.
  • Generate a press release using the track analysis.
  • Start submitting to industry contacts who fit your track.

Track Page Analysis

You can also open an existing track and use its Analysis tab. The track page includes an Auto-Tag action when AI auto-tagging is enabled for the account.
