DropTrack lets you receive music submissions (demos, promos, etc.) through your own branded submission page. You can use this whether you're a record label, radio station, blog, DJ, or playlist curator.
How to Enable Submissions
- Go to your Submission Settings page (under Settings or Demos in the sidebar).
- Toggle Enable Submissions on.
- Configure your settings:
- Submission instructions - Tell submitters what you're looking for.
- Preferred genres - Help submitters know if their music is a good fit.
- Track limit - Set how many tracks per submission.
- Notifications - Get notified when new music is submitted.
- Public directory - Toggle whether you appear in the DropTrack public directory.
- Click Save.
Your Submission Page
Once enabled, your submission page is live at:
- yourname.droptrack.com/submit or yourname.droptrack.com/demo (both work)
The page is responsive and works on all devices.
Get Paid for Listening
You can optionally charge a fee for each submission:
- In Submission Settings, toggle Get Paid to Listen.
- Set your price per submission (e.g., $1, $5, $20).
- Choose whether payment is optional or required.
This helps filter for serious submitters and creates a new revenue stream.
Promoting Your Submission Page
- Share the link on your website, social media, YouTube descriptions, and business cards.
- Use the Get HTML Code button to add a link to your website.
- Use the Get Embed Code button to embed the full submission form on your website.
- Use the Install Facebook Tab button to add submissions to your Facebook page.
Managing Submissions
View all received submissions from the Submissions page. You can:
- Listen to submitted tracks
- Favorite or archive tracks
- Filter by genre and status
- Contact the submitter directly
