If you have a spreadsheet of contacts (from an email list, a CRM export, or collected at events), you can import them into DropTrack in bulk.

Preparing Your File

DropTrack accepts CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files. Your file should include at minimum an email column. Other useful columns:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Company
  • Title / Role
  • Location / City / Country
  • Phone

How to Import

  1. Go to Contacts in the sidebar.
  2. Click Import Contacts.
  3. Upload your CSV or Excel file.
  4. Map columns - DropTrack will show the columns detected in your file. Match each column to the corresponding DropTrack field (email, first name, last name, etc.).
  5. Assign to a list - Choose a Contact List to add the imported contacts to (or create a new one).
  6. Click Import.

Validation

DropTrack will validate email addresses during import. Invalid or duplicate emails will be flagged so you can review them.

Tips

  • Clean your spreadsheet before importing - remove duplicates, fix typos, and ensure email addresses are valid.
  • Use separate lists for different types of contacts (e.g., "Labels", "DJs", "Bloggers") to make campaign targeting easier later.
