You can add Spotify tracks and full Spotify albums to your DropTrack library, then use them in playlists, links, and campaigns.

Add a Spotify Track

  1. Go to Promotion > Tracks.
  2. Click Add Track.
  3. Choose Spotify.
  4. Paste a Spotify track URL, for example one starting with https://open.spotify.com/track/.
  5. Check the track details, then save.

Add a Spotify Album

You can paste a Spotify album URL (https://open.spotify.com/album/...) anywhere a Spotify URL is accepted - the Add Track flow, the Music Analyzer, and the Press Release Generator.

When you confirm the import, DropTrack:

  • Creates a new playlist named after the album.
  • Imports each album track into your library, in album order.
  • Uses the album cover as the playlist artwork.

You'll see a confirmation step that shows the album cover, name, artist, track count, and release year before the import runs.

Plan Limits

If your account hits its track limit during an album import, DropTrack imports as many tracks as your plan allows and shows an Imported X of Y tracks summary along with an Upgrade plan call to action. Skipped tracks are listed with a reason (plan limit or import error). The playlist is still created when at least one track is imported, so you can finish populating it after upgrading.

Using Spotify Tracks and Albums

  • Add them to playlists.
  • Include them in email campaigns.
  • Share them through playlist links and offers.
  • Use them when submitting to Spotify playlist curators where a Spotify song link is required.

Share a Spotify Track with One Release Link

Open the track's Promote tab, find Share this release, and choose Create release link. DropTrack fills in the saved Spotify link for a new release link, so you do not need to paste it again. Check it and add links to any other places the track is available.

Use Add more streaming services to add other listed platforms, including Beatport and Bandcamp. For a service that is not listed, choose Add another service and enter its own name and link, such as your own store. You can also update the website shown across your DropTrack pages while editing the release link. Social links saved in your DropTrack profile can appear on the public release page.

Save the release link, check it with Preview page, then choose Copy link to share it. Adding links does not upload or distribute your music to those services.
