Track Versions let you attach alternate audio files, such as an instrumental, radio edit, or updated mix, to one hosted track entry. Its existing DropTrack links continue to point to that track, and listeners hear the version you make active.
Why Use Track Versions?
- Share updated mixes without creating a brand-new track.
- Keep plays, comments, downloads, and campaign history connected to the same track.
- Compare performance across versions.
- Let listeners always hear the active version from existing links.
Add a New Version
- Go to Promotion > Tracks and open an existing uploaded track.
- Open the Versions tab.
- Click Add Version and upload the new audio file (MP3, WAV, or AIFF).
- Add an optional label, such as "Radio Edit" or "Instrumental".
- Save the new version.
The newly uploaded version becomes available in the Versions table after processing.
Make a Version Active
- Open the track's Versions tab.
- Find the version you want listeners to hear.
- Click Make Active.
Switching the active version is instant. Promo pages, embeds, playlists, and shared links serve the active version's audio.
Version Analytics
Each version can show its own engagement, including plays, downloads, and views. This helps you compare mixes or edits without splitting everything into separate tracks.
Version Limits by Plan
